Lykke Li Takes “Wounded Rhymes” on a Tour of L.A., Including a FREE Show at Amoeba, TONIGHT!

Tonight, Swedish songstress Lykke Li brings her wounded rhymes to the Amoeba stage for a live performance and album signing of her just-released sophomore LP.  Wounded Rhymes, according to a press release, is, “packed full of pounding, voodoo drums, girl group gang vocals, sparkling guitar lines, woozy keyboards, love unrequited, and hope re-ignited,” and features Lykke Li’s vocals doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

Wounded Rhymes is the follow up to 2008’s critically-acclaimed debut, Youth Novels, and was produced by Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn & John, and recorded in Stockholm, Sweden.

Lykke Li performs at 6 PM tonight at Amoeba Hollywood.  All Amoeba shows are FREE and all ages.  For more information, check out Amoeba’s Live Shows Page.

If you aren’t able to make tonight’s show, you can catch Lykke Li all over town this week as she promotes Wounded Rhymes.  Lykke Li headlines a sold-out show at the El Rey, Wednesday, March 9th, and plays a FREE intimate poolside show for the Mondrian Sessions, Thursday, March 10th.

Thursday’s Mondrian Sessions with Lykke Li takes place at Skybar inside the Mondrian Hotel; you must be 21+ to attend.  Show starts at 8 PM, and admission is FREE with RSVP, HERE.

Lykke Li’s newest LP, Wounded Rhymes, is available now from her own imprint, LL Recordings / Atlantic Records.
