Red Bull and VBS.TV Check into the Studio with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt (of Miike Snow)

The final episode of Red Bull and VBS.tv’s joint documentary series, The Producers, features a behind-the-scenes look at Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt and Mark Ronson collaborating at Redbull Studios in London. On this foray into the studio, the talented pair conceptualizes a remix of Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus.” The duo most recently teamed up on Ronson’s sophomore release, Record Album, where they joined forces on the Boy George-led track “Somebody to Love Me.”

Things Get Personal for Guest Vocalist Boy George in Mark Ronson’s Video for “Somebody to Love Me”

The poignant video for Somebody to Love Me was directed by Saam Farahmand, and presents a re-enactment of a day in the life of Boy George during the height of his career.  The track features guest vocals from both Boy George and Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow.  Of the clip, Ronson has said, “Saam is a wonderful boy genius. There could be no better moving image to accompany this song”.

Mark Ronson Debuts “Bang Bang Bang,” First Single Off of Forthcoming Album “Record Collection”

British super producer, Mark Ronson, revealed his new electro-pop single Bang Bang Bang, to Zane Lowe of BBC – Radio 1, on Lowe’s Monday night broadcast.  Bang Bang Bang has “summer anthem” written all over it, with its tight structure and bouncy beat.  The song, which Lowe dubbed, the “Hottest Record In the World Today,” features rapper Q-Tip, Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson, and experimental dance pop vocalist MNDR.  MNDR, also known as Amanda Warner, previously opened for music acts The Shins, Dan Deacon, and Deerhoof among others, and is currently completing her debut electro-pop album with producer Peter Wade.
